Totnes Heritage Trust is proud to announce critically acclaimed jazz pianist Will Butterworth will bring his dazzling and creative improvisations to St Mary’s Church in November, for a performance you will not want to miss.
During his recital on Saturday 12 November, Will will reimagine the great American songbook, creating passionate, adventurous, and beautiful music.
The performance will start at 4.30PM and will run for an hour.
Admission is £6, with all the monies going towards the St Mary’s Church Renovation Project.
Totnes Heritage Trust Chair John Birch said the trust is working to raise £60,000 locally to transform and revitalise St Mary’s Church for everyone in the community.
“Will Butterworth is a great local talent, and we’re looking forward to his performance at St Mary’s in November,” Mr Birch said.
“The funds being raised will go towards an important cause which will benefit our local community.”
Will Butterworth has been dubbed a rising Brit Jazz piano star by Time Out as well as “A precociously talented modern jazz pianist who plays with spacious and fractious beauty”
While Ian Mann, the Jazz Mann said he was “a brilliant young pianist… Stunning displays of virtuosity…a remarkable talent.”
“Butterworth’s flourishes are devastating in their beauty, (his) deft fingers spin a yarn of their own, making poetry out of music.” Cindy Marcolina from Broadway world said.
